Dr. Terry Eagleton is one of the best-known literary theorists and critics alive today. His book Literary Theory: An Introduction (1983), perhaps the most widely read guide to literary theory ever written, was recently re-published in a 25th-anniversary edition (2008). He is also the author of Sweet Violence: The Idea of the Tragic (2002), How to Read a Poem (2007), and Trouble with Strangers: A Study of Ethics (2008). His latest monograph, On Evil (Yale UP), will appear in 2010. Click here to view the event poster.
